GSM & Cobb Test Round Quantitative Sampler Supplier
This sampling device has many names, such as paper GSM cutter, Cobb Sampler, round quantitative sampler, quantitative sampling knife, quantitative punching knife, quantitative cutting knife, etc. It is a dual-purpose machine that can be used not only as a paper GSM testing machine but also as a sampler for Cobb testing.
This sampler features a flexible blade size. The area of cutting the sample in the standard configuration is 100 cm². You can also choose 125 cm² as a Cobb sample cutter. It allows the cut sample thickness up to 7 mm.
This instrument is suitable for sampling standard samples required for quantitative determination and other physical property tests of various paper, paper boards, corrugated fibreboard, and other sheet materials.
Suppose you have requirements of cutting large amounts of samples or are fed up with pressing the handle to sample. A pneumatic GSM cutter which is free from manual operation, is also available at AMADETECH. Please click to learn more if you are interested in it.
Working Principle of the Paper GSM Cutter
A sheet of raw sample is horizontally placed on the cutting platform of the cylindrical punching head. The ball at the end of the lever is held by a hand and pressed downward quickly to drive the blade to punch the test sample. A single test piece with a specified area and shape is obtained.
