Leather Dynamic Water Resistance Tester China Manufacturer
Maeser Water Penetration Tester is used to determine the dynamic water resistance of shoe upper leather subjected to repetitively angular flexing in solution. This machine can measure initial water penetration and water absorption.
It is applicable to all leathers but is particularly suitable for leathers intended for shoe uppers.
Test Principle
The specimen folded in half and held by two V-shaped clamps with wedges forming a V-shaped trough is placed in a water tank with a defined depth of conducting solution. One clamp is in a fixed position. The other movable clamp can oscillate for a given distance at a specified frequency to repeatedly flex the specimen filled with steel balls of specified mass for a given number of cycles. The initial water penetration is detected by a current leakage from the high electrode through the specimen to the common electrode in the conducting solution or visual inspection. The machine stops automatically once the water penetrates the specimen or the set time or set cycles is reached. The water absorption can be calculated based on the specimen’s change in mass before and after the test.

Maeser Water Penetration Tester Features
