Leather Dynamic Water Resistance Tester is used to determine the water penetration and absorption of the leather under dynamic stress.
Test Principle
A rectangular specimen is bent into a U shape and secured between two cylinder clamps consisting of a stationary clamp and a movable clamp to form a trough. The moving clamp makes back-and-force motions to flex the specimen at a constant rate under a normal atmosphere while the sample is partially soaked in water. The water penetration state is detected by the precision induction components throughout the test.
The time taken for water to penetrate through the test piece is measured. The method allows for the percentage mass of the water absorbed and the mass of the water transmitted through the test piece to be determined.
This leather testing machine is suitable for all flexible leathers, including genuine leather and artificial leather, but is particularly applicable to leathers intended for footwear application.
