Spectacle Spring Hinge (joint) Elasticity Test Machine China Supplier and Manufacturer
Spectacle Temple Torque Tester is intended to evaluate the change in elasticity of an eyeglass spring hinge after it has been subjected to repeated opening and closing to the outside at a specified angle or a specified force.
It is an essential instrument to assess the performance of the sprung joints and the applicability of the spectacle temples.
Our spectacle temple torque test machine offers a workstation to hold the sample frame. The clamping apparatus consists of a stationary fixture and a moving fixture. The fixed fixture can grip the rim next to the temple to be tested firmly with an adjustable screw. The moving fixture with a load cell is used to restrain the temple and guide it to bend under control. It can perform rotation in the range of 0 ~ 90 degrees or -90 ~ 0 degrees. The real-time torque value and rotation angle value are transferred to the control unit for analysis and display.
PLC controls the operation of this temple torque tester. It allows you to set a maximum torque and a desired bending angle of the temple on the touch screen. The single test will stop if either of the two conditions is achieved during operation. You need to reposition the movable clamp manually. In the “Auto Return” mode, you can customize the number of tests as needed. After every single test, the moving fixture will automatically return to the starting point for the next repeated test until all the set test times are completed. During the test process, the real-time torque value, peak value, bending angle, number of test times and test speed will be displayed on the screen for you to monitor.

Test Principle
The front frame of the sample eyeglasses is fixed to the stationary fixture and one of the temples is fixed to the movable fixture. When the machine is started, the movable fixture rotates back and forth at a specified angle or with a specified force, driving the sample temple to bend repeatedly to the outside with the hinge as the pivot axis until it reaches a set number of cycles. The real-time and peak angle and torque values during the test are displayed on the screen. After the test is completed, the specimen is removed to check the hinge elasticity change and the damage of the temple.
