Footwear Water Penetration Flexing Tester is used to determine the resistance to water penetration of the completed shoe during flexing. It is applicable to different types of shoes.
There are two test methods: The test sample is immersed in water for a stipulated time under the specified conditions & The test sample is repeatedly flexed in water for the given number of cycles. The immersion time or the number of flexes can be preset. The machine can automatically detect the signal and stop running when it reaches the set time or number of flexures, as this shoe testing machine adopts an electronic induction mode.
This machine can simulate human feet walking in the water with shoes to determine the penetration time, the number of bends before penetration, and the infiltrating area within a specified time or the number of flexes.
Test Principle
A shoe test piece is fixed in the trough of water, which may contain a dye solution, and is flexed through a specified angle about its natural flexing line. After a predetermined time or number of flexes is reached, the test piece’s waterproofness under bending conditions is determined according to signs of water penetration. The level of the water in the trough, the number of flexes, the interval time between assessments, and the angle at which the shoe is flexed are determined by the type of footwear being tested.
