Ball Pressure Tester

Ball Pressure Tester is used to determine the heat resistance of nonmetallic materials, such as electrical equipment and its components and parts, non-ceramic solid electrical insulating materials and other non-metallic materials.

It is suitable for the materials used in electrotechnical devices, subassemblies and components, as well as solid electrical insulating materials except ceramics.

The ball pressure test apparatus is manufactured in accordance with Standards: IEC 60695-10-2, IEC 60335-1, IEC 60950-1, IEC 60884-1, IEC 60320-1, IEC 60598-1, IEC 61010, IEC 61032, IEC 60439-5, IEC 60601-1, BS 1363-1, IRAM 2073, 4220-1 NM, BIS, UL 2601-1, CSA 60745, VDE0620, BSI, DIN, EN, etc.

The test piece is placed on the platform in a constant-temperature chamber maintaining at 125 ± 2℃, and pressed by the pressure ball connected to the loading device under the load of 20 N for one hour. After the test piece is taken out, put it in water at 20℃±5℃ for 10 seconds, and then the diameter of the indentation is measured, which is qualified within 2 mm.

This ball Pressure Test Apparatus is mainly made up of a loading device and specimen support. The loading device features a 5 mm diameter pressure ball attached to a system of a pair of symmetrical weights designed to apply a downward strength of 50 N load, including the mass of the pressure ball. The specimen support made of tough stainless steel has a smooth flat surface to rigidly support the specimen in a horizontal position and bear the loading device, and it has a large mass to prevent a significant reduction in the temperature of the apparatus during the installation and removal of the test specimen from the heating oven.
